We have been able to position ourselves among all the Industrial Training Institutes in Bardhaman and adjoining areas through our quality education and modern infrastructure facilities within a span of 3 years. The building provides an exemplary ambience for both the theoretical and practical classes. The institute provides state of the art infrastructure and amenities supported by the commitment and experience of the faculty members and staff members along with the management. The building accommodates spacious and well ventilated classrooms, seminar halls, separate shed for workshops.
A technologically adept campus: A campus wide wireless computing network is in place that allows faculty, staff and students to log on to the Internet at any point of time. The Internet lab powered by dedicated leased line is open for students even after college hours to help them spend extra time to make use of the abundant information available on the Internet. Generator: A standby power generator is provided in the campus to take care of the occasional power shut down due to maintenance.Fitter Workshop
Workshop forms an integral part of the Institution as it is heavily involved in carrying out the practical oriented study of various manufacturing activities with the help of some sophisticated equipment and machineries and tools. Workshop curriculum is framed to make all students proficient in the use of hand tools, equipment and machineries in various workshop sections like Machine Shop, Welding, Carpentry, Fitting, Sheet metal, Smithy, Foundry etc. Also with the assistance of quality supporting staff, students are able to carry out the fabrication work for their project work as part of their course study.
Electrician Workshop
This skills-based workshop program prepares students for entry into the electrical skilled trades industry, including apprenticeship. The program provides students with theoretical and practical experience on residential wiring standards and practices, commercial wiring techniques and applications, as well as industrial controls. The field of study also includes the industrial application of power systems, electrical motors, motor controls, generators, transformers, programmable logic controllers, solid-state controls and instrumentation. Students will gain advanced knowledge of electrical theory and its application to a variety of practical situations and be well versed in a variety of skills such as troubleshooting electrical systems, quality assurance and testing, and proper meter usage.
Computer Lab
There is one computer lab with 40 computers and Internet facilities for the students and teachers. These labs are also equipped with teaching aids such as LCD Projectors and Scanners. The College wants all its students to be conversant with modern learning aids. The entire college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Library
The library is fully stocked with books covering all aspects of Electrician and Fitter. Apart from the syllabus books we have a vast amount of books of renowned authors for all technical examinations conducted by the Public sectors and other government jobs.
Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities
Being a part of Kalpana Foundation, KFPITI students can participate in all the activities including games and sports as undertaken by this foundation. The trainees are encouraged to play Cricket, Football, etc. during their leisure time to develop the spirit of teamwork and brotherhood among them.
